Information on the processing of personal data
pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation


Collection and protection of personal data

Syncolor sas, with registered office in Arzignano (Vicenza), in Via Del Lavoro 1, as Data Controller (hereinafter “Controller”) pursuant to EU Regulation 679/2016 (hereinafter: “Regulation” or “GDPR”) – considers privacy and the protection of personal data one of the main objectives of its business. Before providing the Controller with any personal data, we would like all Users of the Syncolor site to carefully read this Disclosure, which contains important information on the protection of their personal data.

This disclosure describes how the official Syncolor website (www.syncolor.com, hereinafter: "Site") is managed but not how other external websites are managed, which can be consulted by the user via links. Additional information can be provided within the different access channels, which is divided based on the topics covered (thematic area).

This Disclosure:

  • is an integral part of the Site;
  • has been prepared pursuant to Article 13 of the Regulation to those who interact with the Site’s web services;
  • some sections of the Site are integrated where needed, by detailed provisions regarding the specific processing of personal data.

The processing of personal data will be based on principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency, limitation of purposes and retention, minimisation and accuracy, integrity and confidentiality, as well as the principle of accountability referred to in Article 5 of the GDPR. Users' personal data will therefore be processed in accordance with the legislative provisions of the Regulation and the confidentiality obligations set forth therein.

Personal data processing means any operation or set of operations, performed with or without the use of automated processes and applied to personal data or sets of personal data, such as the collection, registration, organisation, structuring, retention, adaptation or modification, extraction, consultation, use, communication by transmission, dissemination or any other form of making it available, comparison or interconnection, limitation, deletion or destruction.

The personal data concerned in the processing may consist of textual information, photographic or video images and any other information suitable to make the data subject identified or identifiable.

2. Personal data subject to processing

  • 2.1. Browsing data - log files

    The computer systems and applications dedicated to the functioning of this website detect, during their normal operation, some data (the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols) not associated with directly identifiable Users. The collected data includes the IP addresses and the domain names of the computers used by the Users who connect to the site, the addresses in the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the file size obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.), and other parameters concerning the operating system and the IT environment used by the User. This data is processed, for the time strictly necessary, for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its regular operation.

  • 2.2. Data provided voluntarily by the user

    The voluntary and explicit sending of e-mails to the addresses indicated in the different access channels of this site and the compilation of the specifically prepared "formats" (windows), entail the subsequent acquisition of the address and data of the sender/user, necessary to respond to the instances produced and/or provide the requested service. Specific summary information will be shown or displayed on the pages of the site prepared for special services upon request.

  • 2.3. Third-party data provided voluntarily by Users

    During the use of special services, personal data may be processed by third parties, communicated to Syncolor by the User. Regarding these hypotheses, the User is an autonomous data processing controller, assuming all the obligations and responsibilities of the law. In this sense, the User confers the most extensive indemnity regarding any dispute, claim, request for compensation for the damage caused by processing that may be received by the Data Controller from third parties, whose personal data has been processed through your use of the services of the Site in violation of the rules applicable for the protection of personal data. In any case, if the User provides or otherwise processes third-party personal data in using the Site, they guarantee from that moment - assuming all related liability - that this particular processing hypothesis is based on the prior acquisition - by the User - of the consent of the third party to the processing of information concerning them.

  • 2.4 Processing purposes

    Site Syncolor carries out processing of personal data within the limits of what is strictly necessary to execute institutional functions, excluding processing when the objectives pursued can be achieved through anonymous data or methods that allow identification of the data subject only in the case of need. Specific purposes, related to individual processing, can be reported in detail in the various access channels. Within them the User can find additional information on the processing of personal data. Personal data collected through the Syncolor Site can be used, with the consent of the data subject, for the request to send informative material or commercial information.

3. Processing methods

Personal data is processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it is collected. Specific security measures are complied with to prevent loss of data, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorised access.

4. The option of providing data

The user is free to provide personal data contained in the request forms of the various services offered on the portal; failure to provide the mandatorily required data will make it impossible to obtain the service.

5. Transfer, communication and dissemination of personal data

No data is shared outside the European Economic Area. The personal data of Users who ask for informative material (mailing-lists, replies to queries, notices and newsletters, deeds and provisions, etc.) to be sent, is used only for the purpose of carrying out the service or the service requested and is communicated to third parties only in the cases in which:

  • this is needed to fulfil requests (e.g. shipping service of the requested documentation);
  • communication is imposed by legal or regulatory obligations;
  • during legal proceedings.

6. Retention of personal data

6. Retention of personal data Personal data that is processed for simply browsing the Site will be retained for the time strictly necessary for that functionality.
For the purposes of requesting informative material or commercial information to be sent, personal data will be retained for two years.
In any case, the possibility is reserved for Syncolor to retain Users’ personal data for the time foreseen and allowed by Italian law to protect their interests pursuant to Article 2947 of the Civil Code.

7. Rights of the data subject

Pursuant to Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, Users have the right to request Syncolor at any time, access to their personal data, its rectification or deletion, or to oppose its processing pursuant to Article 21 of the Regulation. Users also have the right to request processing limitation in the cases foreseen in Article 18 of the Regulation, and to obtain the data concerning them, in the cases foreseen in Article 20 of the Regulation, in a structured format, of common use and legible from an automatic device. Requests must be made in writing to the Controller at syncolor@syncolor.com. In any case, Users always have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent control authority (Guarantor for the protection of personal data), pursuant to Article 77 of the Regulation, if they retain that the processing of their data is contrary to current legislation.

8. Modifications

Syncolor reserves the right to partially or fully modify or simply update the content of this Privacy Policy, even when due to variations of the applicable legislation. Syncolor will inform Users as soon as they are introduced, and they will be binding as soon as they are published on the Site. Syncolor requests Users to regularly visit this section to ascertain the most recent and updated version of the Privacy Policy so they are always updated on the data collected and the use Syncolor makes of it.
